Community Health Champions (CHC) are local people who care about the health and wellbeing of the people around them. They talk to their family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues and others in their local community as part of their day-to-day lives.They can come from a range of different communities and backgrounds such as young/older people, a faith leader, belong to a community group or be someone who has accessed or benefitted from a local lifestyle service. CHC’s can dip in and out of their role, they just need to have passion and desire to ; raise awareness about health and wellbeing messages, inspire and motivate people to make lifestyle changes, help people to overcome any barriers to accessing healthy lifestyle services.

How can i get involved?

The CHC role is informal – you aren’t required to sign up to a programme, undertake any specific training, or complete any reference checks. To find out more about becoming a CHC get in touch with us.
