MECC training is now being rolled out to frontline staff and volunteers across Dudley borough in order to equip them with the necessary skills to provide residents with basic advice about health and wellbeing and signposting to further support. The half-day training course aims to enable you to explore how you will apply MECC in your day-to-day practice and to introduce participants to a range of talking tools and techniques that you may use. Following the training, you will be able to identify appropriate opportunities to raise lifestyle issues with members of the public that you encounter during the course of your work; have the confidence and skills to hold brief conversations about behaviour change; and have the knowledge to signpost to self help support and local services as required.

To request an invitation to the training please email publichealth.events@dudley.gov.uk
