Many of us spend a lot of time at work, but we all have different experiences. Some of us spend a lot of our time at work sitting down, whereas others are on their feet all day. For some, work can be demanding (and sometimes stressful) whilst for others these demands energise them. One thing that is true for all of us is that work will affect our health. Workplace Health Champions can help to make sure that work affects our health in a good way.
There are plenty of ways you can get involved as a Workplace Health Champion. Informally, you can encourage your colleagues in their healthier lifestyle choices, you could suggest walks at lunch time, tell people about classes and events in your area, start a club or bring in fruit instead of cake!
Additionally, our formal Workplace Health Champions programme is coming soon. This will give you training on what support and resources are available for you to share with your colleagues. It will also put you in touch with other workplace champions to share ideas and get support if you want.
